Technologies Used
This project was built in React with TypeScript, and Node.js, and Node.js, and using multiple APIs to retrieve data including:

CoinGecko API - for retrieving cryptocurrency data

OpenWeather API - for finding the current weather in any location
Development Process & Motivation
I created a simple Chrome extension in JavaScript before that would override the new tab page, so I wanted to recreate it in React. I wanted to add different widgets like a to-do list and notes app to boost productivity.
Challenges & Solutions
The biggest challenge I had with this one was figuring out how to convert my JavaScript extension a React one. Many tutorials and GitHub repos later I found some good templates to follow.
Future Plans & Improvements
I plan to add more widgets like a timer, calculator, bookmark tool, and various other productivity tools. I also plan on eventually releasing on the Chrome Store if others are interested.
