This project is currently built in vanilla JavaScript. Currently deployed here on Netlify.
Development Process & Motivation
I wanted to create this project so I can include it in a virtual arcade machine I'm building. I found a tutorial by Kenny Yip Coding and made some modifications to make the game as close as possible to the original game including sounds and tracking high scores.
Challenges & Solutions
The biggest challenge for this project was the game logic involved. Building games in JavaScript takes a much different approach than building a typical web app because of the math and logic involved. The solution for me was to study the code and look at similar example online understand it better.
Future Plans & Improvements
I plan to update this project to add an updated version made in React, since the virtual arcade cabinet I'm making is also built in React.
